KHON2 is getting results for Ewa Beach residents frustrated by potholes in a shopping center.
The potholes at the Ewa Beach Shopping Center are so deep, that many cars are forced to maneuver their way through the parking lot, or risk scraping their bumpers.
Honolulu City councilmember Kymberly Pine told us she’s heard a lot of complaints for residents, but few answers from the shopping center.
“The residents who have been using this shopping mall for many years have been complaining about the conditions of the roads,” Pine shared.
“The potholes are gigantic and they’re a real danger to little kids and of course everybody’s car gets damaged.” said State Rep. Bob McDermott (R-Ewa Beach, Iroquois Point).
KHON2 started making calls to the property owner after this was brought to our attention.
On Wednesday, KHON2 found out the property owner has approved work to fill the potholes.
In an e-mail to businesses, the work will start on Friday and should take about a week and a half to finish.
