If there is anyone out there who believes that your past and where you come from will define who you are and ultimately in the end will dictate what path you will take down the road of life, a young man from Ewa Beach is here to prove you wrong.

Brandon Ragasa a recent graduate from James Campbell High School didn’t have the easiest upbringing as a child. His father passed away when he was just a year old, his mother became addicted to drugs at the young age of 15 when she gave birth to Brandon. Thorought his childhood, Brandon was passed around from family to family, before being permanently placed with his grandparents. “I don’t think your past should hold you back in any way. To me it holds no significance in what I do now and what I want to do,” says Brandon, being the living proof that no matter where you come from, through your trials and tribulations, you can achieve your goals.

Brandon has received over $600,000 in scholarships, has earned a GPA greater than 4.0 and is even his senior class’ President and of of 28 Valedictorians from James Campbell High School.  Congratulations Brandon!
