Crews will work evening shift 7 p.m. – 5 a.m.

Traffic Plans

  • Eastbound drivers will be detoured to the H1 Freeway and return to Farrington Highway via Exit 5 to Waipahu
  • Westbound drivers will be detoured to Kunia Road northbound, to the H1 Freeway westbound and return to Farrington Highway via Exit 3 to Kapolei.
  • Please allow for additional travel time through the area
  • Please follow signage for detours. Safety, traffic signage and message boards will be placed along the highway advising of upcoming work zones and closures

Noise Notification

During unloading of materials, excavation and drilling, expect increased noise levels from the use of construction equipment.

Safety Tips

Shoulder and median work signage/cones along the side of the road will mark the work area. Motorists are advised to drive with caution and provide a safe distance between themselves, the construction workers and vehicles.

  • Don’t speed in a work zone
  • Be patient and alert when making U‐turns or left‐turns
  • When traveling by a work zone be alert for changes to lanes and follow signs for detours
