Councilmember Pine’s Statement on City Prosecutor’s Decision to Step Aside
“The City Prosecutor did the right thing by taking a leave of absence. The U.S. Department of Justice must complete its ongoing investigation to help restore the trust that has been lost amid all the allegations and indictments. We are grateful for Keith’s 16 years of service to the City and County of Honolulu. The men and women of the City Prosecutor’s office are dedicated professionals who work very hard to enforce the law and keep our community safe. They along with Acting Prosecutor Dwight Nadamoto, deserve our full support going forward.”
