The rapid spread of COVID-19 brings not only a daily increase in number of infections with it but also a multitude of questions. This guide is to help clarify this issue and disseminate further information and guidance to resources.

CURRENT SITUATION
As time goes by the number of positive tested people is increasing. On March, 19, 2020 there are 26 cases of COVID-19 in Hawaii. According to the World Health Organization the number of worldwide confirmed cases come up to 207,860 people.

HEALTH
- To protect yourself, you family and friends and everyone in your environment, please consider the following aspects:
- Stay home if you are sick, except to get medical care
- Wash your hands often, use soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- Clean and then disinfect frequently used surfaces daily
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
- Practice social distancing by keeping a distance of about six feet from others if you must go out in public
- Stay home, only go out to public areas for essentials
- Limit close contact with people who are sick

ELDERY
Older adults (60 and older) are wide more exposed to the risk of infection than younger people. Therefore many supermarkets offer special opening hours, only for seniors.

SMALL BUSINESS ASSISTANCE
The U.S. Small Business Administration helps power the American dream of business ownership. The SBA will work directly with state Governors to provide targeted, low-interest loans to small businesses and non-profits that have been severely impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan program provides small businesses with working capital loans of up to $2 million that can provide vital economic support to small businesses to help overcome the temporary loss of revenue they are experiencing.
