Kapolei – The Department of Community Services will host a workshop on Tuesday, October 7, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Kapolei Hale (1000 Ulu‘ohi‘a Street, Conference Room A, Kapolei, Hawaii) to assist non-profit organizations with applying for grants offered by the City and County of Honolulu.

This workshop will provide an overview of city grants available to non-profit organizations as well as explain the Grants in Aid (GIA) fund, in detail, highlighting key dates and items. Participants will be provided with a forum to ask questions and provide input on the GIA process. General grant writing tips will also be shared.

GIA are used by nonprofits who serve economically and socially disadvantaged populations or provide services for public benefit in the areas of arts, culture, economic development, or the environment. Two GIA workshops were recently held at the Mission Memorial Building Hearings Room.

Space is limited and street parking will be available. Those interested in attending are requested to RSVP at 768-7761.
