Are you looking for new training opportunities for your clients, friends or family to get good jobs in the agriculture, energy and healthcare industries? What about foundation skills building programs that don’t cost you anything? And add a National Work Readiness Certificate that makes you stand out among job applicants?
The Community Colleges are implementing a new grant called Community College and Career Training or C3T. They have received a $24.6 million grant to build their capacity to develop new training programs and support existing ones providing pathways that lead to jobs in the agriculture, energy and health industries for today’s competitive economy.
This C3T grant also provides for accelerated programs that meet industry needs for lower-skilled individuals who need foundation skills building like reading, writing and math. They have an opportunity to earn a national Work Readiness Certificate. One program called iCAN feeds into non-credit or certificate programs. A similar program to build foundation skills feeding into credit degree programs is called Just In Time. These two programs are FREE.
