State Department of Transportation officials have opened a 2-mile stretch of the H-1 freeway’s eastbound shoulder lane in West Oahu for weekday morning commuters.
Drivers heading east on the H-1 from 5 to 9 a.m. are now able to travel in the shoulder lane from the Kualakai Parkway onramp to the Kunia/Waipahu/Ewa offramp.
