HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO CLOSE RUNWAY FOR MAINTENANCE

HONOLULU — The state Department of Transportation advises Ewa residents of an expected increase in aircraft traffic over the area due to airfield maintenance work at the Honolulu International Airport.

Runway 8L-26R will be closed for pavement maintenance work beginning at 3 p.m., Wednesday, February 26, to 7 a.m., Thursday morning, February 27. During this time, flight patterns will be modified, resulting in increased air traffic over the Ewa area.
