HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO CLOSE
RUNWAYS FOR MAINTENANCE
HONOLULU — The state Department of Transportation advises Honolulu and Ewa residents of an expected increase in aircraft traffic over the area due to airfield maintenance work at the Honolulu International Airport.
Runway 4R-22L and 8R/26L will be closed for airfield maintenance work at 3 p.m., Tuesday, September 24, to 7 a.m., Wednesday morning, September 25. During this time, flight patterns will be modified, resulting in increased air traffic over the down town Honolulu area and Ewa plains.
