Residents recently reached out to Councilmember Pine’s office regarding suspicious activity at Ewa Beach Shopping Center occurring afterhours. Reported incidents of loitering, drug and alcohol abuse and destruction of property raised concerns of many community members.
Councilmember Pine immediately connected with the Honolulu Police Department to increase patrol and safety measures in the area.
In response, HPD has increased patrols in all three watches at the Ewa Beach Shopping Center.
Patrol officers also recently met with the shopping center’s security to heighten security measures throughout the grounds. Additionally, Weed and Seed officers have connected with the shopping center’s property management to offer HPD’s patrol and assistance.
