The City and County of Honolulu receives federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) and Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) Program funding annually from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The funding allocations for these programs are based on a statutory formula, which assures each entitlement community, such as the City and County of Honolulu, an annual sum of money to carry out its programs. Over the next five years the City anticipates receiving over $55 million for these programs.
You can assist the city’s Department of Budget and Fiscal Services’ effort to prepare the Consolidated Plan (ConPlan) for Fiscal Years 2016-2020 by completing a survey by visiting the link below. Your responses, along with other data, will help identify the community’s greatest needs and determine how the funds are spent to help address those needs. The department would like to thank you in advance for your time spent completing this survey. You can also participate in a public meeting on the development of the ConPlan on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Kapolei Hale.
