Councilmember Pine recently received an update from the City’s Department of Design & Construction regarding road repaving taking place in Kapolei. According to DDC, here’s an updated timeline regarding repaving on Kamokila Boulevard, Farrington Highway and Makakilo Drive:
- Repaving of Kamokila Boulevard from Nau Place to Fort Barrette Road and Farrington Highway from Fort Barrette Road to the Walmart entrance is expected to begin November 6, 2017 during evenings.
This work area will be done at night to minimize traffic impacts to area residents. The contractor is currently obtaining all necessary permits for the night work.
- Farrington Highway from Walmart to Kapolei Golf Course will also be repaved, beginning November 6, 2017 during the day due to the proximity to nearby residents.
- Makakilo Drive repaving is expected to be finished by November 3.
