The Legal Aid Society of Hawai`i, a public interest non-profit law firm, seeks a part-time (20 hr/week) paralegal for its Leeward, Oahu office in Waianae. Primary responsibilities include Social Security Disability applications and appeals, including meeting with clients, gathering medical documentation, completing Social Security application, requesting reconsideration of denials, and representation at administrative hearings. Must be able go grow into a large case load. Full time employment may be available in the future.

Experience with any of the following helpful but not required: Sate financial assistance (General Assistance, Aid to the Blind & Disabled). Social Security benefits, work with individuals with physical and metal disabilities, or paralegal experience. Associate degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school or equivalent experience required. Strong computer skills required.
