WHAT WE WILL BE DOING:

1) Scuba Diving for large debris & snorkeling along the more shallow reef for marine debris.

2) For those of us who don’t want to get wet, we need many hands to clean the beach as well.

MAJOR THREATS: This location is plagued with plastic bags, single-use bottles, cans, tires, you name it – it’s probably here!

HERE IS THE MOST ESSENTIAL INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW:

808 Cleanups will provide you with the cleaning materials – scissors, gloves, bags, etc. If you don’t have snorkel gear, but want to participate Snorkel Bob’s has generously provided us with snorkel gear for you to borrow! Please let me know what you need no later than Thursday 5/26.

Please bring your personal:

swimsuit, SUNSCREEN, snorkeling/dive gear, WATER, and towel. This area gets HOT, HOT, HOT so sunscreen & water is essential.

Parking – Carpool is recommended, but parking is usually ok. I also advise keeping your valuables at home or out of site.

Fawn Liebengood will be your POC for this cleanup event. If you have any questions, please ask her via email at 808cleanups@gmail.com. Mahalo!
