Hawai’i is the mecca for all things nature related with our unique array of ecosystems and native species that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Photographs are an ideal way of documenting and capturing the beauty surrounding us. Ever wanted to learn how to create your own artistic photographs of Hawai’i’s distinct landscapes?
Artist and hiking enthusiast, Nate Yuen (http://hawaiianforest.com) will lead participants in an interactive hike on the Palikea trail that will combine your love for nature and photography. He will teach us how to creatively frame and direct our cameras in order to produce electrifying photos of native plants and wildlife.
Access to this trail is limited to special groups and considered “moderate” with uphill and downhill elevation changes and steep drop-offs in certain areas, but they will be going slowly to see plants and take photos. This workshop will be of interest to those who love to learn and play outdoors! *Age Restriction: 14 & up
Registration is required for this workshop and they encourage families to attend together. To register, please visit www.malamalearningcenter.org. If you have any questions, please contact Malama Learning Center by email at chelsey@malamalearningcenter.org or call (808) 220-4166.
