OAHU LANE CLOSURES FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 7 – JUNE 13

PLEASE NOTE: Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.
All projects are weather permitting.

— H-1 FREEWAY —

HONOLULU (NIGHT/WEEKEND WORK)

Full closures on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between Middle Street and Ward Avenue Overpass on Sunday night June 8, through Friday morning, June 13, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, for the H-1 Rehabilitation Project.

The H-1 Rehabilitation project will upgrade the freeway sub-surface and asphalt to provide a longer-lasting, smooth riding surface, provide an additional lane in each direction, install upgraded lighting, improve drainage, and install glare screens along the median.

HONOLULU (NIGHT/WEEKEND WORK)

Full closure of the H-1 Freeway eastbound Likelike Highway Off-Ramp (Exit 20A) from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Motorists wishing to access the northbound Likelike Highway are advised to take the Vineyard Boulevard Off-Ramp (Exit 20B), turn left to Palama Street, left onto School Street and back onto Likelike Highway.

WAIMALU TO WAIPAHU (NIGHT/WEEKEND WORK)

Two left lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pearl City/Waimalu Off-Ramp (Exit 10) and the Waipahu Off-Ramp (Exit 8B) from 11 p.m., Saturday night June 7, through 12 noon, Sunday, June 8, for road resurfacing.

Improvements for the PM Contraflow include highway deck repairs and road widening from Waimalu to Waikele. An extra lane will be added from the Waimalu On-Ramp to the Waipahu Off-Ramp and from the H-1/H-2 Split to the Waikele Off-Ramp.

WAIMALU TO WAIPAHU (NIGHT WORK)

Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pearl City/Waimalu Off-Ramp (Exit 10) and the Waipahu Off-Ramp (Exit 8B) on Monday, June 9, through Friday morning, June 13, from 7:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., for road widening and utility installations.

PEARL HARBOR (NIGHT WORK)

Two right lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between Radford Drive Overpass and the Airport Off-Ramp (Exit 16) on Monday, June 9, to Friday morning, June 13, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for overhead sign work.

MAKAKILO

Single lane closure on the Makakilo Drive Off-Ramp in the westbound direction between and the Kapolei/Ewa Off-Ramp (Exit 3), and the Makakilo Interchange on Monday, June 9 through Thursday, June 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for soil testing.

AIRPORT (NIGHT/WEEKEND WORK)

Left lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Hickam AFB/Naval Base Off-Ramp (Exit 15) and Airport Off-Ramp (Exit 16) from 9 p.m., Friday night, June 6, through 9 p.m., Sunday night, June 9, for viaduct deck repairs.

Airport Viaduct improvements include concrete deck replacements, expansion joint repairs, and pavement restriping. Work is located between the Pearl Harbor Interchange and the Keehi Interchange.

EWA (NIGHT WORK)

Lane closed on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between Kualakai Parkway and Ford Weaver Road on Monday, June 9, through Friday morning, June 13, from 8:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., for overhead sign work.

HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between Kokohead Avenue and the King Street Off-Ramp (Exit 25A) on Monday, June 9, through Friday, June 13, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for sign maintenance.

PEARL CITY (NIGHT WORK)

Left lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Kamehameha Highway Overpass and the Waiawa Road Overpass at the H-1/H-2 Merge on Sunday, June 8, through Friday, June 13, from 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., for the rail project.

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY —

MAKAHA

Lane closures on Farrington Highway in the eastbound direction between Jade Street and Makaha Valley Road on Monday, June 9, through Friday, June 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for drainage maintenance. Traffic will be contraflowed using the remaining open lane.

During these hours, the east entrance to Lahilahi Street may also be closed as needed. Access will still be available at the west entrance to Lahilahi Street.

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY —

PEARL CITY

Lane closures on Kamehameha Highway in both directions between Puu Momi Street and Kuleana Road on Monday, June 9, through Friday, June 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for road work.

Lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in both directions between Makalapa Road/Radford Drive and the H-1 Freeway on Sunday, June 8, through Thursday, June 12, from 8:30 p.m. to 4 a.m., for soil testing.
