OAHU LANE CLOSURES FOR THE WEEKEND OF MARCH 21 – MARCH 23

PLEASE NOTE: Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.
All projects are weather permitting.

— H-1 FREEWAY —

HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between the Managers Drive Overpass and the Kaahumanu Street Overpass, for viaduct deck repairs. Work on Sunday will be scheduled over the next three weeks on March 23, March 30 and April 6.

  • Daytime: Three right lanes closed in the westbound direction on Sunday, March 23, from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Nighttime: Two right lanes closed in the eastbound direction on the following Sundays, March 23, March 30, and April 6, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

HONOLULU (NIGHT/WEEKEND WORK)

Full closures on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between Ward Avenue Overpass and Likelike Highway on Sunday, March 23, through Friday, March 28, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., for the H-1 Rehabilitation Project.

The H-1 Rehabilitation project will upgrade the freeway sub-surface and asphalt to provide a longer-lasting, smooth riding surface, provide an additional lane in each direction, install upgraded lighting, improve drainage, and install glare screens along the median.

HONOLULU (NIGHT/WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between King Street Off-Ramp (Exit 25A) and Kokohead Avenue Off-Ramp (Exit 26A) on Sunday, March 23, from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m., for road maintenance.

— ALA MOANA BOULEVARD —

KAKAAKO (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

  • Lane closures on Ala Moana Boulevard in both directions between Queen Street and Koula Street on Sunday night, March 23, through Friday morning, March 28, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, for utility installations.

  • Two right lane closures on Ala Moana Boulevard in the westbound direction between Queen Street and Kamakee Street on Sunday night, March 23, through Friday morning, March 28, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, for preservation work.

Traffic may be detoured on Queen Street, Koula Street, and Ward Avenue when necessary.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes such as Beretania Street, King Street and Kapiolani Boulevard to avoid the work areas.
