The Hawaiian Humane Society is taking on a larger share of the city’s animal care and control services on Oahu. This year, the group is receiving an additional $800,000 boost in funding from the city.
The added funding will allow the Humane Society to increase their team of investigators from 3 to 12, free up HPD to deal with other priorities, and also give the public a one-stop source for animal care and control issues.
