OAHU LANE CLOSURES FOR THE WEEK OF MAY 3 – MAY 9

PLEASE NOTE: Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.
All projects are weather permitting.

— H-1 FREEWAY —

HONOLULU (NIGHT/WEEKEND WORK)

Full closures on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between Middle Street and Ward Avenue Overpass on Sunday night May 4, through Friday morning, May 9, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly, for the H-1 Rehabilitation Project.

The H-1 Rehabilitation project will upgrade the freeway sub-surface and asphalt to provide a longer-lasting, smooth riding surface, provide an additional lane in each direction, install upgraded lighting, improve drainage, and install glare screens along the median.

HONOLULU (NIGHT/WEEKEND WORK)

Two left lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between Ward Avenue Overpass Middle Street on Sunday night, May 4, through Friday morning, May 9, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for the H-1 Rehabilitation Project.

PEARL CITY TO WAIKELE

One center lane closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Waipahu Off-Ramp (Exit 8B) and the Waikele/Waipahu Off-Ramp (Exit 7) on Monday, May 5, through Friday, May 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., daily, for guardrail work.

Improvements for the PM Contraflow include highway deck repairs and road widening from Waimalu to Waikele. An extra lane will be added from the Waimalu On-Ramp to the Waipahu Off-Ramp and from the H-1/H-2 Split to the Waikele Off-Ramp.

HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK)

The Waialae Off-Ramp (Exit 26B) will be closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between Hunakai Street and 17th Avenue on Monday evening May 5, through Friday morning, May 9, nightly, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., for sign installation.

PEARL HARBOR (NIGHT WORK)

Right lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between Radford Drive Overpass and the Airport Off-Ramp (Exit 16) on Monday, May 5, to Friday morning, May 9 from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for overhead sign work.

AIRPORT (NIGHT/WEEKEND WORK)

Left lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Hickam AFB/Naval Base Off-Ramp (Exit 15) and Middle Street/Dillingham Boulevard Off-Ramp (Exit 18B) from 9 p.m., Friday night, May 2, through 7 a.m., Sunday morning, May 4, for viaduct deck repairs.

Airport Viaduct improvements include concrete deck replacements, expansion joint repairs, and pavement restriping. Work is located between the Pearl Harbor Interchange and the Keehi Interchange.

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY —

KAPOLEI

Lane closures on Farrington Highway in the westbound direction between Laaloa Street and Tracks Beach Park on Monday, May 5, through Friday, May 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for median and shoulder work.

MAKAHA

Lane closures on Farrington Highway in the eastbound direction between Jade Street and Makaha Valley Road on Monday, May 5, through Friday, May 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for drainage maintenance. Traffic will be contraflowed using the remaining open lane.

During these hours, the east entrance to Lahilahi Street may also be closed as needed. Access will still be available at the west entrance to Lahilahi Street.

— H-1 FREEWAY —

HONOLULU TO KALIHI (NIGHT WORK)

Multiple lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Waialae Avenue Off-Ramp (Exit 26) and the Likelike Highway Off-Ramp (Exit 20A) on Monday night, March 3, through Friday morning, March 7, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for overhead sign maintenance.

During these hours, the Pali Highway Off-Ramp (Exit 21B), the westbound H-1 entrance from Punchbowl Street and the Palama Street Off-Ramp (Exit 20C) may be closed for short durations as necessary.

HONOLULU (NIGHT/WEEKEND WORK)

Lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between Likelike Highway and Ward Avenue on Sunday, March 2, through Friday, March 7, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for the H-1 Rehabilitation Project.

SALT LAKE TO HONOLULU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (NIGHT WORK)

Two right lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Radford Drive Overpass and the Airport Off-Ramp (Exit 16) on Monday, March 3, through Friday, March 7, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., nightly, for overhead sign work.

HONOLULU

Left lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Pearlridge/Waimalu Off-Ramp (Exit 10) and the Kaahumanu Street Overpass on Thursday, January 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for drill test boring.

PEARL HARBOR (NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between the Halawa Interchange and Hickam AFB Off-Ramp (Exit 15) on Monday, March 3, through Wednesday, March 5, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for road repairs.

WAIMALU (NIGHT WORK)

Three left lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Pearl City Off-Ramp (Exit 10) and the Kaahumanu Street Overpass on Thursday, March 6, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for road repairs.

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY —

MAKAHA

Single lane closures on Iroquois Point Road in both directions between Keaunui Drive and Hoomaka Street on Monday, March 3, through Friday, March 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for sidewalk construction. One lane in each direction will be closed at a time.
