Walgreens recently opened its new 24-hour store on Nuuanu Avenue in Honolulu and plans to open another 24-hour Hawaii store, at Laulani Village in Ewa Beach, on June 30.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports the Ewa Beach store is 14,600 square feet with a drive-through pharmacy and will employ about 30 workers, according to a spokesman for Deerfield, Ill.-basedWalgreen Co. (NYSE: WAG).

The Ewa Beach store joins anchor Safeway (NYSE: SWY), Ross Stores Inc., Petco and City Mill. The newspaper reports the Nuuanu store opened June 1 as the anchor of the newly-renovated Nuuanu Shopping Plaza.
