POSITION TITLE: Early Childhood Education Assistant Teacher – Full Time
The Kroc Keiki Learning Center (KKLC) Assistant Teacher is responsible for teaming with a supervising teacher and others in the KKLC staff in a providing a well-balanced, developmentally appropriate curriculum that enhances all aspects of a child’s development; including health, safety, education, spiritual, and psychological wellness.
The Kroc Keiki Learning Center Assistant Teacher will have a deep commitment to the mission of The Salvation Army, which will be evident in his or her professional life and the manner in which he or she represents The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in the community.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
At least 2 years of college (60 credits) with 9+ credits in Early Childhood Education or
Child Development coursework, or College Certificate of Recognition in Early Childhood, or
CDA Credential from Accredited College or University in Early Childhood Education
At least 6 months supervised daycare or preschool teaching experience.
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be accepted if approved by the PATCH Registry.
A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field of study.
